I am sincerely honoured to have been selected for the GIP 2022. I would like to thank Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies for giving me this opportunity to study at IÉSEG Paris. This exchange has helped me gain experience of different cultures, perspectives and traditions. I travelled to 15 countries in Europe, made global connections around the world and learned many things which can’t be explained in few words. Academically this exchange has helped me learn about the international business and complex corporate complexities. Personally the exposure that I have received from this exchange is extraordinary and I would highly recommend everyone to go for an exchange.

The first day at HWR Berlin set the bar for me when I attended my first lecture and was astounded by the quality of the subject matter and the teaching strategies employed. Every single lecture was aimed at Experienced Based Learning and suddenly there was no pressure academically.

This was my first time travelling outside of India, and spending six months alone in a foreign country was very empowering, challenging but amazing and beautiful. It provided me the sense of responsibility and freedom I had been seeking.

I learnt how to communicate, and socialize with people from different cultural backgrounds. To be honest I rediscovered myself because I was in an environment where in everything around me was going steady and I had time to think about myself. Introspect and reflect on what I was doing, what I want to do and what I should do. This reflected in my confidence and I was unstoppable then. HWR, Berlin has Exchange Students coming from 29 different Countries where in majority of them stay in the same apartment building. This helped to make friends, socialize, party and network. I can proudly say that I did my share of networking throughout the summer. Also, I was fortunate enough to meet some of the most purest souls out there and the opportunity to make friends for lifetime.

I am Hriday Golani and I enrolled for the GIP 2022, I got the opportunity to study a semester at Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom.

It was a wonderful experience and a huge opportunity to get to explore and interact. It also helped me understand the teaching patterns and methods of the two universities and how they are different from each other. How the curriculum here is more informative and how the curriculum there is more practical, each of them with their own features and gladly I could witness the both.

Moreover, I got the chance to further polish my personality and prepare myself for life through this mega opportunity that my university provided.

Not only this but I also learnt to become self-dependent, disciplined, thrift, and enjoy at the same time. In my short time here I realised that such kind of exposure can do wonders for anyone and everyone and I can only be grateful to my college for this ticket to reach greater heights.

I am Bhakti Sadhwani currently pursuing BBA at SCMS Nagpur and I was given the opportunity to take part in a semester exchange program Hochschule Bremen in Bremen, Germany. Through this semester, I was able to gain a lot of exposure, experience, meet new people from all around the world, travel to different countries and learn about new cultures. By studying in a new environment, it helped me gain knowledge in a different way as all our professors had practical experience in their respective fields and the sessions were interactive which made the learning experience more fun.

It was one of the best and the most wholesome experiences of my life that has helped me grow personally and professionally.

Studying abroad is more than just education, it's a holistic experience. Apart from being in an ecosystem of international students, I was also surrounded by many Indian students from various states as well. I had an amazing learning experience at LBU, UK where I got to learn about subjects such as marketing, marketing planning and leadership. I had the honor of being taught by experienced industry professionals like David Andrews, Micheal Taylor and Gary Cole. The education system in the UK was very different from that of India because in the UK, the focus is more on experiential learning and not just classroom teaching. I also participated in extracurricular activities like Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, UK which is considered as one of the toughest hiking challenges in the world. I completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in 12 hours and helped raise funds for motor neuron disease. Overall, it was a great experience from both an academic and professional perspective. I thank the Symbiosis family for the opportunity.

Spending a semester at Leeds Beckett University, UK was more than just studying abroad — it was a journey of growth, new friendships, and stepping out of my comfort zone. Grateful for all the moments that made this experience unforgettable!

The Global Immersion Programme has been life-changing for me. I can’t stress enough on the exposure and learnings I gained in my Journey and experiencing a Global educational environment changed my outlook and perception of life in many ways.

With that said, I lived some of the best months of my entire life. The fond memories of Learning, Travelling and Exploring, together with friends from various countries will stay with me till the end.

Lastly, I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to represent the Institute in one of the most diverse programmes in the world!

I'm thankful to have been given this opportunity. The entire exchange experience was unlike anything I'd ever done before, but it was a lot of fun and surprisingly simple to adjust. The semester exchange program offered me a warm, welcoming environment and the opportunity to study at a prestigious university and meet people from all over the world. It was critical to remember that my time here was limited and that I should use all of the opportunities presented by this experience, whether it was meeting new people, walking the streets, visiting a museum, or traveling to other countries.

Participating in the Global Immersion Program (GIP) in Dubai was a transformative experience that blended learning, culture, and personal growth. From exploring UAE’s heritage and sustainability efforts to engaging in industry sessions and creative activities, each day offered valuable insights. Hands- on tasks like blog writing and business model creation made learning practical, while cultural outings like the desert safari and Global Village enriched my understanding of Dubai’s diversity. Overall, the program broadened my perspective and left me inspired and more confident.

Participating in the Global Immersion Program (GIP) at SIU Dubai was a truly enriching experience. It offered a unique blend of academic insight, cultural exposure, and personal growth. Engaging sessions with distinguished faculty and peers from diverse backgrounds broadened my perspective, while visits to innovative businesses and sustainable initiatives showcased Dubai’s forward-thinking vision.

Exploring iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, and Miracle Garden, along with cultural excursions such as the Desert Safari and Dubai Creek, deepened my appreciation for the city’s balance of modernity and tradition.

This transformative journey enhanced my knowledge, boosted my confidence, and inspired a passion for global learning and continuous self-growth.

This program significantly enhanced my academic and cultural understanding while strengthening my confidence and global outlook. It has been a pivotal experience in shaping my personal and professional growth.
